Get Moving Get Dancing Get Healing

Dance Medicine is inspired by the Ecstatic Dance Movement, which has grown in popularity over the last decade across the world. Taking inspiration from a dance movement that brings people together to dance in community we created our first regular event in Glastonbury Avalon, UK 2016

We create events of Dance Journeys with specialised DJ’s

With a background in contemporary dance and over five years of experience observing and participating in Ecstatic Dance events, the founder discovered the profound healing power of dance. When people are given the freedom to move and are guided by the transformative skills of Dance Journey DJs, dance becomes more than expression—it becomes therapy. Regardless of age or physical ability, dancing offers countless benefits. These guided journeys create a safe and empowering space to explore emotions, release tension, manifest intentions, deepen self-awareness, and ultimately reconnect with joy and well-being

Dancing provides a natural icebreaker and is a great way to meet new people and make new friends.

8) Lifts your mood

Any exercise can raise your spirits by raising the endorphins or so called feel good chemicals. This can lighten your mood and reduce the risk of depression.

9) Good for your Mind

Dancing will keep your mind active. It will improve circulation to the brain and help stimulate the memory by remembering all the steps. Great mental exercise.

10) Improved overall well-being

Dance has an outstanding positive effect on both physical and psychological well-being.

There you have it – 10 reasons why you should dance. There are, of course, many more benefits of dancing, but we have to stop somewhere.
